Possessive form

1. We use the possessive-'s to show that someone onws or possesses something.

2. We also use the possessive-'s to show the close relationship between people, things and ideas.

3. We also use the possessive-'s to talk about time and duration.

4. We add-'s or an apostrophe () to nouns to form the possessive.

  • singular noun + ’s

  • plural noun +

5. We can leave out the noun after -'s or  -'  if the noun has already been mentioned.

6. When we talk about something that belongs to two people, we add -'s after both people.
