Countable nouns

A countable noun refers to something that we can count, such as separate objects, people and places.

Countable nouns can be singular or plural. They can be used with a/an and with numbers and many other determiners (e.g. these, a few).
Uncountable nouns

An uncountable noun refers to something that we cannot count. Uncountables nouns do not have plural forms.
